Thyme and Liquorice Cough Syrup

Herbal syrups and honeys are nutritive and a pleasant way to take medicinal herbs. Honey and unrefined sugar are effective preservatives and can be combined with decoctions or infusions to make syrups.

Syrups are best made to give soothing, antiseptic, demulcent and nutritive qualities. They are especially useful to ease tight chests, sore throats and coughs.
